Msg#1643 The Kingdom Age

What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan’s Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev.11:15). That our Lord Jesus Christ would one day be King of kings cannot be disputed by anyone who has read their Bible. Roman theologians, their mean-well-reformers, and Satan himself, have insisted that he not rule from the Throne of David situated on God’s holy hill of Zion in the city Jerusalem, and that he not rule for a millennium. Revelation 20 insists six times that it is a millennium, but they call that “allegorical.” For the Bible believer, Christ being King of kings, occupying the Throne of David in Zion, and regathering all twelve tribes of Israel to their promised land is perfect fulfillment of what he promised. “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it (Isa.9:7)… Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment (32:1)…. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation (32:18)… Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty (33:17)… Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation,… For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us (33:20-22)… No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, … but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads” (35:9-10). The Kingdom Age is the seventh and last dispensation.
