Evangelist Patterson preached Friday night that “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Heb 13:8), will be unchanged after America’s pitiful election. 1) The Holy Bible will still have all the answers and give perfect hope (Rom 15:4). 2) God anointed preaching will still find some pulpits and do our Lord Jesus Christ’s work (Isa 61:1). 3) The Holy Spirit will still move on hearts, seal believers and fill believers. “Grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Eph 4:30). Persecution will still come. “He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit” (1Thes 4:8). 4) Prayer will still work. No matter who is elected president, no matter how Godless the supreme court justices, no matter if the economy collapses, keep praying. God answers prayer. “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass” (Luke 21:36). 5) God will still pour out blessings. “Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham…. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ” (Gal 3:7,14). 6) There will still be room at the cross. “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven…. Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross” (Col 1:20, 2:14). And 7) the lost will still be saved by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Okay vote, but keep living for him.
